Shania Twain Launches #LetsGoGirls Challenge on TikTok
Iconic artist Shania Twain, known for her blend of country music and pop, is now bringing her unapologetically feminine energy to TikTok. In celebration of International Women's Day, Shania has initiated the #LetsGoGirls challenge on TikTok, inviting users to showcase what they believe is the best thing about being a woman. The challenge is soundtracked by her famous hit 'Man! I Feel Like A Woman.' Participants can create transitions or stitches to demonstrate their reactions when they hear Shania's iconic phrase 'Let's Go Girls.'
Shania Twain expresses her enthusiasm for TikTok as a platform that gives everyone a voice and fosters a sense of community. She sees it as a place to celebrate creativity and have fun. Throughout March, Shania and TikTok are joining forces to support all those who feel empowered as women. Shania encourages everyone to join her in saying 'LET'S GO GIRLS!' loudly.
As a multiple Grammy Award-winning artist, Shania Twain is the latest music legend to join TikTok. Her song 'Man! I Feel Like A Woman' is already popular on the platform, with over 19k video creations. The hashtags #ShaniaTwain and #LetsGoGirls have generated more than 95 million combined video views.
With five albums released and over 100 million albums sold worldwide, Shania Twain remains the top-selling female country pop artist of all time. While she eagerly awaits the opportunity to reunite with her fans, you can find her on TikTok under the username @ShaniaTwain. Join her in the #LetsGoGirls challenge and show your support!
In honor of International Women's Day, TikTok is hosting a special six-hour LIVE telethon from 1:00-7:00 p.m. PST. The telethon aims to raise funds for organizations dedicated to supporting and empowering women. The Discover page will feature a banner with the hashtag #ThanksToHer, connecting the TikTok community to a schedule of LIVE programming featuring women creators and artists such as @mayemuskofficial, @lillysingh, @team2moms, @kaliuchis, @christaallen, and more.
TikTok recognizes the importance of empowering women to express themselves and showcase their talents. While progress has been made, there is still work to be done. TikTok will be donating $250,000 to non-profit organizations in the US and Canada that are committed to advancing women's leadership and economic empowerment globally. Some of the organizations that will benefit from this donation include the Center for Asian Pacific American Women, Girl Effect, I Support the Girls, Kode With Klossy, League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC), Malala Fund, PERIOD., and Plan International USA.
