Creator Spotlight Series: Kay Akpan

Kay Akpan is an entrepreneur and travel enthusiast who has traveled to over 36 countries with her family. Currently, she is traveling across the U.S. full time in an RV with her husband and 8-year-old. Kay is passionate about sharing content on TikTok around finance, parenting, and lifestyle, to show an alternate way of living.

Being part of the Black community means everything to Kay as a Black woman. It allows her to share experiences and insights with her peers, working towards empowering each other and achieving racial and social equity.

The TikTok community has inspired Kay in many ways. It is a platform that allows her to create and consume content. She has been able to share her family experiences with the world, including RVing, homeschooling, and traveling. TikTok is also a place where she can learn from others. Kay believes that if you're not on TikTok, you're missing out on a lot of educational and inspirational content.

On and off TikTok, Kay's passions include traveling and playing tennis. Her dream opportunity is to have an unscripted show that showcases the ups and downs of living in an RV as a Black family in the US, while also highlighting the rewards of living life on your own terms.

When it comes to travel content, Kay loves capturing the world through her son's eyes. Any content that showcases their family adventures is her favorite.
