How I Overcame Marketing Challenges and Built a Successful Business
How I Overcame Marketing Challenges and Built a Successful Business
From then on, my focus shifted towards writing policies in such a way that if a client called me at 4:00 AM because their house had burnt down, I could reassure them they were taken care of. These early failures shaped who I am today.
I overcame numerous obstacles and built something substantial in the process. Starting in the insurance industry, specifically with a captive company that had stringent quotas, brought its own set of challenges. Marketing was one of my biggest struggles.
When I say I sucked at marketing, I mean the quota for us was selling 40 policies and getting 4 new clients each month. Looking back, I laugh because those numbers seem relatively easy to achieve now. But back then, they were a significant hurdle.
Despite my difficulties, I kept pushing forward, improving my skills, and learning from my experiences. These failures and challenges were instrumental in building my eventual success.
