How to Connect TikTok Pixel to Shopify (Step by Step Tutorial)

Ladies and gentlemen, in this article, I’m going to take you behind the scenes of an active Shopify account to show you step-by-step how to connect your TikTok pixel to your store. I've seen way too many videos on YouTube overcomplicate the process, so I’m going to give you the simplest version of how you can do it from inside an active Shopify account. It's really quick and easy. Let’s go ahead and get started!

Step 1: Setting Up Your TikTok Ad Account

Once you've set up your TikTok ad account, the next step is to install the pixel on your Shopify store.

Step 2: Installing the TikTok Pixel on Shopify

  1. Access the Shopify App Store:

    • Head over to the Shopify App Store and search for "TikTok".
    • Find the TikTok app (it’s free to install) and click the button to add the app.
    • Click the button to add the TikTok Sales Channel.

  2. Setting Up TikTok Sales Channel:

    • Once you’re on the setup page, click the button to set it up.
    • Shopify will identify your TikTok account. Be sure to select "Connect".
    • If you already have a TikTok ads manager, select the button to connect it to your Shopify store.
    • If you don’t have a TikTok ads manager, click the link in the top right to create a new one and follow the steps. It's pretty easy and takes about 60 seconds.

  3. Configuring the Pixel:

    • While setting up your TikTok pixel, select the maximum level of data sharing.
    • Confirm your selection by scrolling down and clicking "Confirm".
    • Fill out your company information, if you haven't already, then select "Finish Setup".

Step 3: Verifying the Pixel Configuration

  • To confirm that your TikTok pixel was set up correctly:
    1. Go to "Assets" in your TikTok Ads Manager and select "Events".
    2. Once the next page loads, select "Web Events" and "Manage".
    3. On this page, you’ll see your TikTok pixel created with its creation time from just a few minutes ago.

Congratulations! You’ve successfully connected your TikTok account to your Shopify store. The entire process took just about 90 seconds.
