HOW TO MAKE MONEY ON TIKTOK! Creator Fund, Creator Marketplace, Going Live + More!
If you're new here, my name is Angel. I share various insights and tips on growing your business on this channel. I’m an influencer with almost a million followers across multiple platforms. Today, I’m excited to discuss one of my favorite platforms—TikTok. It’s relatively new but brimming with opportunities to make money. Many influencers overlook TikTok, but I’m here to dive deep into how you can monetize your presence. Let’s dive in!
TikTok Creator Fund
TikTok launched the Creator Fund to help creators earn money from their content. To qualify for the fund, you need to:
- Have 10,000 authentic followers.
- Accumulate 10,000 views in the past 30 days.
- Be a legal resident of the United States.
- Be at least 18 years old.
- Have a TikTok account in good standing.
- Link a payment account (like PayPal).
Once you meet these requirements and apply, you'll earn money based on your daily views, akin to YouTube's CPM model. Even if you're not uploading new videos consistently, your old content can still generate revenue if it continues to gain views.
TikTok Creator Marketplace
This is a feature where brands can find and collaborate with you directly on TikTok for sponsored content. You can either receive an invite or apply yourself. While some suggest you need 100,000 followers to apply, exceptions do exist.
Affiliate Marketing
You can monetize TikTok by sharing affiliate links. When people click these links and make purchases, you earn a commission. I’ve personally doubled my affiliate earnings through TikTok alone. For more tips, download my free guide on 25 ways to make money with affiliate marketing.
Selling Products & Services
Once you have access to the clickable link in the bio (generally around 22,000 followers), you can direct your audience to your own products or services. Create videos that promote these products and drive traffic to your links.
Going Live
While live streaming, followers can send you gifts that you can convert into real money. TikTok takes a 50% cut of these earnings, but it’s still a significant way to generate income.
