I Tried TikTok Dropshipping with ONLY $50

Introduction

Today, we venture into the world of dropshipping with a modest budget of just $ 50. Our mission? To find a winning product on TikTok, craft a Shopify store, and launch TikTok ads. If we don’t make at least three sales, I'll mentor two people from my Discord for free. Here’s a detailed breakdown of our experiment:

Finding the Product

First, we need a product. My previous video highlighted 15 potential winning products for Shopify dropshipping. Today, we’re going to test fleece leggings. Here's why:

  1. Research on TikTok: A quick search for "fleece leggings" on TikTok shows numerous viral videos ranging from 100K to 1.4 million views each, indicating a high potential for virality.
  2. Availability on AliExpress: We found a matching product with 7,000 orders and free shipping, costing $ 10 per pair.

Building the Shopify Store

Steps:

  1. Download Product Images: Using the AliSave Chrome extension, we download all necessary product images.
  2. Import the Product: Utilizing the Copy app on Shopify, we imported the best product page we found via a Google search (fleece leggings + Shopify).
  3. Adjust Product Page: Tweak the product page to suit our store's aesthetic.
  4. CJ Dropshipping Integration: Sync the fleece leggings with CJ Dropshipping to automate order fulfillment.

Launching TikTok Ads

  1. Create Campaign:

    • Select "Conversion" for campaign objective, targeting website conversions.
    • Budget: $ 50.
    • Optimize for "Complete Payment" to maximize sales.
  2. Ad Targeting:

    • Location: United States and Canada.
    • Gender: Female.
    • Age: 18+.
  3. Scheduling & Uploading Creatives:

    • We downloaded the top five most viewed fleece leggings videos on TikTok and ensured they didn't mention any competitors like Amazon.
    • Uploaded and added text overlays with enticing messages: “Only 13 left in stock,” “50% off + Free Shipping,” etc.
    • Set ads to run from 6 AM to midnight the next day.
  4. Ad Duplication: Created nine duplicates of our ad set to maximize reach.

Results

After 24 hours of running the ads:

  • Orders: We secured three orders totaling $ 139 in revenue.
  • Costs: $ 50 on ads and the rest on shipping, leading to $ 91 in total expenses.
  • Profit: Net profit of $ 48.49, with a net margin of 34.43%.
  • Ad Performance: $ 16 cost per purchase, a 39-cent cost per click, and a 2.1% click-through rate.

Despite the limited budget, we achieved profitability on the first day with a positive margin. This experiment proves it’s possible to start dropshipping with minimal funds.
