TikTok Launches $50 Million Creative Learning Fund
TikTok has announced the establishment of a 250 million pledge. The fund aims to support creators in producing learning content, provide resources for learners, and introduce emerging teachers to the TikTok platform.
Over 800 public figures, media publishers, educational institutions, and real-world professional experts have partnered with TikTok to bring learning material to the platform. These organizations and individuals are sharing a wide range of enriching ideas and content, including explainers about endangered species, fitness tips, lessons from farm owners, history lessons, dental hygiene tips, wellness tips, mindfulness content, motivational speeches, and inspirational poetry and prose.
The joy of learning on TikTok comes from the instructional tips and takeaways presented in a creative format. The community is drawn to videos that highlight unique science experiments, useful life hacks, creative math tricks, easy DIY projects, and motivational messages and advice.
TikTok has collaborated with notable experts in their fields to create educational content. Bill Nye, the American science educator, will be bringing science content to TikTok. José Andrés, the internationally-recognized culinary innovator, will be sharing cooking tips and tricks. Lilly Singh, host of A Little Late on NBC, will be creating content that inspires people to stay positive. Neil deGrasse Tyson, known for his ability to make science accessible, will be teaching and inspiring on TikTok. Tyra Banks, known for her expertise in goal setting and motivation, will be creating content that teaches and inspires the TikTok community.
To support the growth of creative learning, TikTok is exploring additional ways to showcase instructional content on the platform. They are also building a creator learning portal that will provide insights, tools, and best practices on creating quality content on TikTok.
