In other words, supply chains are a total mess today in the 2020s. There are bottlenecks, shortages, and companies are really having a lot of trouble managing and fixing their supply chains. But new technology will allow humans to do a better job than they're doing right now. Automation can help streamline supply chains and allow humans to focus more on the strategic components of supply chain management.

So on one hand, yes, I do see supply chain management being something that's going to be automated. But on the other hand, I don't see that as a risk. I see that as a good thing that can actually make the supply chain profession a lot more fun and also make supply chains in general a lot more effective.
