TikTok for Black Creatives: Introducing the 100 Black Creators and Emerging Music Artists

Today, we are excited to introduce the 100 Black creators and emerging music artists who will be participating in our three-month creator incubator program, TikTok for Black Creatives. These talented individuals come from various fields such as Arts, Entertainment, Music, Education, Food, Beauty and Fashion, and Sports and Fitness. Some notable creators include music artists @keshawntheking and @gracevictoriamusic, animation artists @recokh and @marcstrongedits, creative cake baker @thesweetimpact, self-love and wellness coach @livenaturallylove, and multidisciplinary artist @branmovay, among others.

MACRO, a company dedicated to discovering and amplifying Black voices and storytellers, is proud to partner with TikTok in this program. MACRO's Founder & CEO Charles D. King and Chief Brand Officer Stacey Walker King expressed their excitement about the opportunity to not only find new artists but also provide education and resources to help them grow their careers.

The program begins with a full day of educational programming, featuring a keynote presentation from actress, producer, and entrepreneur Gabrielle Union. The session, titled "Manifestation | Envision Your Future," will teach participants the importance of setting goals, knowing their worth, and creating a vision for their future. Over the next three months, participants will have the opportunity to engage with the TikTok team, as well as prominent Black business leaders, entrepreneurs, and celebrities, through motivational town halls, community-building forums, and educational events.

We received an overwhelming response to the program, with over 5,000 applications submitted in less than 24 hours. After careful review, we have selected the final 100 participants in collaboration with MACRO. We are thrilled by the community's participation and will continue to support all creators and artists who submitted videos. We are excited about the TikTok for Black Creatives program and look forward to further growing and developing the flourishing Black creative community on TikTok.
