Thinking of creating an online course #podcaster #edupreneurship #coursecreation

Introduction

In recent times, many podcasts are becoming native to YouTube. This trend provides an algorithmic benefit for creators while making podcast-style content. A newer approach gaining traction in this space is course creation. Traditionally viewed as a product, course creation can be a significant addition to an information-based content strategy.

I've had the opportunity to work with the team at Teachable, a leading online course platform, and attended their Collective conference not long ago. If your content focuses on information, you should definitely consider exploring course creation. While I currently don't have a course of my own, it’s something I am actively looking into.

Courses aren't just products; they represent highly qualified followers. These are customers who are not only willing to purchase your course but are also likely to follow you to other pieces of content. This level of engagement makes these customers the most valued followers you can have. They are more than customers; they are your community.

Many online course platforms offer multiple Community elements within their products, such as private Slack groups, Discord servers, or Telegram channels. These allow for an interactive and engaging community experience that can enhance your course offering and build loyal followership.

By tapping into course creation, creators can diversify their content and income streams while building deeper connections with their audience.
