While we carefully consider the decision to allow paid ads on our platform, we are still in the early stages of introducing and experimenting with different ad formats. We are actively exploring opportunities for brand partners, including the newly-launched TikTok Creator Marketplace, which enables brands to connect and collaborate with talented creators on marketing campaigns. We recognize the increasing demand for collaborative opportunities between brands and creators, as brands seek insights and partnerships in creating quality content.

However, our main focus remains on creating an entertaining and genuine experience for our community. While we strive to provide value to brands, we are committed to staying true to what makes TikTok unique and beloved by our users – its light-hearted and irreverent atmosphere that makes it a fun place to be.

In line with this spirit, we have made the decision not to allow political ads on TikTok. We believe that paid political ads do not align with the TikTok platform experience. Therefore, we will not accept ads that promote or oppose candidates, current leaders, political parties or groups, or any political issues at the federal, state, or local level.
