The video emotionally caught the viewers by talking about self-love and then posed a product, a multi-mineral seamoss. Every time someone clicked a button at the bottom left corner of the screen and purchased the product, the video poster made money.

**Breaking Down the Numbers**
Cal's video generated \$ 997,000 in sales and the person got a commission of 25%, which totaled to around \$ 60,000 for less than two hours of work. Sounds too good to be true? I thought so too, so I did some digging.

**Research and Analysis**
I found a website called Cow Data. It’s amazing; it shows the exact earnings and profiles of people selling through TikTok shop. For example, a page named Healthy Habits made \$ 132,000 in sales in the last 90 days with a product that brought in over \$ 6 million on TikTok shop. I also analyzed a creator, Conscious Doctor, who made \$ 224,000 in revenue with just two hours of work by posting six videos.

**How to Start**
1. **Finding Trending Products**: Go to Cow Data, filter by category (e.g., Health), and select a high-selling product.
2. **Creating a Script**: Use Google Docs to draft a compelling script. For emotional hooks, analyze popular videos like those from Stellar Health. 
3. **Generating the Content**: Use ChatGPT to generate the script focused on the product. Separate the script line-by-line.
4. **Creating Visuals with AI**: Use MidJourney to generate each image required for the video. Each line of the script will correspond to an image.

## I Tried Dropshipping With Paid TikTok Ads

Two weeks ago, I embarked on an experiment with dropshipping using only fifty dollars for paid TikTok ads. Today, I'm sharing my results and insights, particularly about our website, *The Multi Bottle*, to determine if paid ads are a viable strategy or if it's time to consider a new product. Let's dive into the details of this journey.

### Day 1
We started by creating ads sourced from online content since I didn't have the product on hand. Ideally, one should use User-Generated Content (UGC) because it performs better. However, due to time constraints, we proceeded with existing content. We set up a Campaign Budget Optimization (CBO) with a fifty-dollar daily spend, targeting the 18 to 55 plus age range and excluding 13-year-olds to prevent unintended credit card usage.

On launch day, the ads spent only \$ 3.64, resulting in 61 store sessions and one add to cart with no sales.

### Day 2
Black Friday saw a substantial ad spend of exactly fifty dollars, but with a high Cost Per Mille (CPM) at \$ 22. Given the competitive nature of Black Friday, this was expected. The Cost Per Click (CPC) was unusually high at \$ 5, instead of the typical 10 to 20 cents, and the Click Through Rate (CTR) was at 0.45%, below the expected 1%. Shopify reported 80 store sessions, one add to cart, and zero sales.

### Day 3
Despite another fifty-dollar spend, the CPM increased. Nevertheless, lower CPC and higher CTR indicated slight improvements. Shopify showed 70 store sessions, five add to carts, three reaches to checkout, and one sale.

### Day 4
With the CPM still at \$ 21, we cut the ads after spending seven dollars. By this point, \$ 111 had been spent for just one sale. A strategic re-evaluation was necessary.

### Day 5
Spent the day studying TikTok ads and creating new strategies and ads, resulting in zero ad spend.

### Day 6
Launched new ads directly from the ads manager, adding Canada and enabling Automated Creative Optimization. The budget was increased to \$ 100 daily for faster results. After spending \$ 26, the campaign was cut due to high CPC. At this stage, \$ 140 had been spent on ads for one sale, prompting a shift to a new product.

### Day 7
With a new product and website, we spent \$ 77 on ads. The CPM was reasonable, but CPC and CTR remained poor. Shopify reported 107 store sessions, five add to carts, two reaches to checkout, but zero sales.

### Day 8
Published new ads resulting in impressive performance with minimal ad spend. With just five cents spent, we achieved our first sale. Subsequently, additional sales rolled in, ending the day with \$ 202 in revenue. Factoring in ad costs, fulfillment, and payment processor fees, we netted a profit of \$ 3.96.

### Conclusion
Over this period, a total loss of \$ 216 highlighted the necessity of having a budget ranging from \$ 1000 to \$ 2000 for paid ad campaigns. Given the financial constraints common among beginners, our next move is to retry organic dropshipping with TikTok, utilizing a US SIM card for better targeting. Stay tuned for the next updates!

So today we're going to dive into my phone, we're going to dive into my results, and we're going to be talking about TikTok Shop Affiliates and whether or not I think the program is worth it. Let's get into it.

## Introduction

I sell on Amazon, I sell on the TikTok shop, and now we are testing TikTok shop Affiliates. Can you actually make money? Is this program legit? Is it worth it? We've been seeing results all over the internet, people posting \$ 20K profit per month, \$ 50,000 up to six figures. I'm like, okay, is this actually real? So I had to try it myself.

## Understanding TikTok Shop Affiliate Program

For those that don't know, I actually sell my own products on the TikTok shop. So there's two sides of TikTok shop: there's selling and there's the Affiliates. My first 30 days selling products went amazing, and I made \$ 4,400 profit. Now I'm trying the side of being an affiliate.

### What is TikTok Shop Affiliate Program?

TikTok Shop has two sides: you can sell products or you can promote other people's products, which is the TikTok Shop affiliate program. To get your account approved, you need to have at least 5,000 followers. However, there's a workaround where you can create a seller account, link your TikTok account, and do this with zero followers so literally anybody can do this.

The process is straightforward. You get your TikTok affiliate account approved, find products being sold on TikTok, make simple 30 to 60-second videos about the product, post it, and if the video goes viral or gets some views and generates sales, you get a commission for every sale that you drive.

## My Results

Let's dive into my phone and share the results. I posted my first video for TikTok shop Affiliates on March 4th. Selecting a custom date range from March 4th to March 30th, I made \$ 953 in profit. 

### Detailed Breakdown

Is it the \$ 10,000, \$ 20,000, \$ 100,000 that people are talking about? No, but I would say this is pretty awesome. Most of my commissions (80% plus) were generated in the last seven days of this period.

#### 7-Day Summary

In the last 7 days, my estimated commission was \$ 765. On days like March 28th and 29th, I had up to \$ 180 profit in one single day.

#### Video Strategy

The key thing here is the Compound Effect. The more you post, the more chances you have to go viral. In total, I uploaded 48 videos from March 4th to today, focusing on 17 different products. One of my videos went semi-viral and generated 95% of my commissions.

### Time Investment

I spent about 10 minutes per video which means 8 hours total for the month. That comes out to \$ 119 per hour, which by any measure is a decent return for the time spent.

## Comparing to Amazon Influencer Program

I also do the Amazon influencer program and sell on Amazon. Both are incredible opportunities.

#### Commission Percentages

On TikTok shop Affiliates, commission percentages range from 5% up to 80% or more, where on Amazon it's between 2%-5%.

#### Catalog of Products

Amazon has a larger catalog which makes it easier to find and review products, whereas TikTok is newer with fewer product options. However, once established, TikTok affiliates can request samples from brands.

### Leveraging Traffic

On Amazon, you leverage existing traffic. On TikTok, you have to drive the traffic, but if a video goes viral, the rewards can be substantial.

## Strategy Moving Forward

My strategy is simple: Upload more videos and find more winning products. For example, exploring the TikTok shop Creator Center and Product Marketplace for bestsellers with good sales history, commissions, and enough stock.

By focusing on these criteria, and by consistently posting, I believe I can see much better results in the coming months.

Our first viral video came out that month. Funny thing is, it was my husband's idea to post a Halloween design, and it went viral—not mine! We ended up with over 25,200 orders from that video. It was a whirlwind experience for our small team, which included just Janelle, Keenan, Tyler, and me.

## I GOT BANNED ON TIKTOK

I recently faced a surprising experience that left me quite upset—my TikTok account was permanently banned. TikTok claimed that I violated their terms and conditions, but I couldn't quite understand why. I reviewed all my videos and found nothing that seemed problematic. Eventually, after much back and forth, I discovered the reason behind the ban.

It turns out that a video where I dressed up as Spiderman was the issue. In this video, my friends were pulling me across the floor using a string so we could replicate Spiderman's iconic ceiling-hanging pose. However, some viewers apparently misinterpreted the scene. ### I Let a TikTok Filter Choose My Team for a Pokémon Nuzlocke…

In my latest Pokémon Black 2 Nuzlocke challenge, I took on a unique and fun twist—using a TikTok filter to select my entire team. This added a layer of unpredictability and excitement to the game. Here’s how my adventure unfolded.

The challenge was thrown down by Kus, who spurred me on to take a leap of faith with a TikTok filter-chosen team. The journey started off quite smoothly as I made my way through various battles without too much trouble. By the time I reached Nimbasa City, Schnitzel, one of my Pokémon, had evolved, and I was ready to face off against what was probably going to be my toughest opponent yet: Gym Leader Elesa and her Electric-type Pokémon.

**Nimbasa City Gym Battle**

Elesa led with Emolga, and I decided to send out Schnitzel. Right off the bat, Emolga hit Schnitzel with Volt Switch, which forced Elesa to bring out Flaaffy. I took this opportunity to use Bulk Up and then Wake-Up Slap, dealing significant damage to Flaaffy. However, Schnitzel got paralyzed due to Flaaffy's Static ability. On the bright side, this activated Schnitzel's Guts ability, which boosted its attack stat.

Knowing Elesa’s strategy, I anticipated another Volt Switch from Flaaffy and used Rock Throw, which took down Emolga in a single hit when it switched back in. Flaaffy returned to the battle, and as expected, used Volt Switch again, leaving Schnitzel on just 2 HP. Ze Striker was next, but I was prepared. I used Low Kick, which defeated it in one hit.

**Switching Tactics**

Schnitzel was barely hanging on, so I switched to Truffles. Elesa used a Hyper Potion on Flaaffy, so I decided to use Arm Thrust, although it didn’t do as much damage as I hoped. A second Static activation led to Truffles getting paralyzed. Undeterred, I used Flame Charge, which brought Flaaffy down to low health. One more Flame Charge finished the job, securing me the fourth Gym Badge.

This victory was a crucial milestone in the Nuzlocke challenge, showing that even a randomly chosen team could triumph with the right strategy and some well-placed predictions.
