## Introduction

Have you ever scrolled through TikTok and been enticed by an ad for a product that seems absolutely amazing? You order it, and when it arrives, it’s just not what you expected. That situation is the worst. To prevent you from experiencing that disappointment, I ordered every TikTok ad I saw in the last two weeks to test if they’re as good as they claim.

## Fireball Wand

The first product is a wand that supposedly shoots fire. It came with some intriguing packaging, including a note from Albus Dumbledore. Initially skeptical, we set it up and found that it does, indeed, shoot small fireballs. Safety is crucial here, so if you decide to buy it, be cautious. Overall, the fireball wand was impressive and lived up to its claims.

## Siri Harry Potter Spells

Next, we tested if you could use Siri to activate your flashlight with Harry Potter spells. Surprisingly, “Hey Siri, Lumos” turned on the flashlight and “Hey Siri, Nox” turned it off. This one definitely worked, making it fun for Harry Potter fans.

## Fizz Keeper

We also tried the Fizz Keeper, which is supposed to keep soda from going flat. We tested it with an already-opened can of Chug Rug and a fresh one. After leaving them all day, the device managed to preserve the fizz in both cans.

## Height Increasing Insoles

These insoles promise to increase your height by two inches. The box arrived damaged, but when we tested them, we found that they did make a noticeable difference. However, comfort was questionable when placed inside shoes. We further experimented by asking friends if they noticed any difference, and they did. 

## Glow-in-the-Dark Ceiling Balls

We then tested glow-in-the-dark ceiling balls. These are supposed to stick to the ceiling and drop down after some time. They worked to some extent but were inconsistent, likely depending on the type of paint on the ceiling.

## Automatic Door Closer

This gadget is meant to automatically close the door. Setting it up, it functioned as advertised, closing the door all the way. However, if the door was opened too wide, the string snapped. So its usage is limited but effective.

## Bird Feeder Camera

We also set up a high-tech bird feeder equipped with a camera and AI bird recognition software. Unfortunately, after five days, no birds landed on it, despite being filled with bird food.

## Power Balance Band

The Power Balance band claims to improve your balance. After some before-and-after tests, it was evident that it was more of a mental placebo than an actual balance-improving device.

## Back Cracker

Another product we tested was a back cracker. Inspired by viral TikTok videos, this device did manage to crack my back but nowhere near as dramatically as the sound effects in the videos.

## TikTok Remote Control Page Turner

This is a ring that allows you to scroll through TikTok hands-free. After setting it up through Bluetooth, it worked as a page-turner but was found to be more useful for Kindle book readers.

## Teeth Whitening Color Corrector

We tested a purple toothpaste-like substance called the v34 color corrector. After brushing with it for 30 seconds, it did manage to make the teeth visibly whiter, although the results appeared temporary.

## Waterproof Socks

Next up were waterproof socks. Testing them by stepping into water, they passed the test leaving my foot completely dry inside—impressive!

## Inkless Sticker Printer

An inkless sticker printer was our next gadget. It prints any image directly from your phone. While it worked fine, the image quality wasn’t stellar. However, it's useful for photo stickers or labels.

## Bouncing Fidget Toy

The last product was a bouncing fidget toy. Contrary to viral videos showing it bouncing back when dropped from bridges, it didn’t perform anywhere near as claimed, rendering it an ordinary fidget toy.

Last week, we built a store to sell comfy clogs and today we will be launching our TikTok ads with the goal of making at least \$ 1,000 over the next 3 days. It's a pretty small goal but I just want to inspire you guys and to show you that Dropshipping really isn't that hard.

Before we can create our TikTok campaign, there are three elements that we need to have in place:

1. A high converting store: The store you're looking at right now is actually a pre-built theme that I give all of my subscribers. 2. A winning product: We made a product page for these comfy clogs in our previous video. If you would like to see a full video where I actually create this page in real time, check out the previous video. I found this product using the TikTok Creative Center. After scrolling down, I came across these comfy clogs, thought they were super cute, and added them to the store.

3. Videos for your product: Head on over to Minia, which is the easiest spot to find videos for our product so we can run some TikTok ads. Once logged in, go to their ads feature and type in your product name (e.g., sock clogs). Download as many clips of the product as you can find from different competitors. Use Pinterest and TikTok to find even more videos.

With these videos saved, we will have ChatGPT create a high converting TikTok ad script, which is 15 to 25 seconds in length. We will use trendy language and aim to drive purchases on our website. Once the script is created, we will use 11 Labs to generate the voiceover. After that, we will use CapCut to edit the videos, add auto captions, and include a call to action at the end.

Now it's time to create the TikTok campaign in the TikTok ads manager. We have our five ad groups, each with one video inside. I will let these ads run all day tomorrow and check back in with the day one recap.

## Day 1 Recap
We are up to two orders totaling \$ 898. We have three of our five videos turned off because the cost per click was too high. Video 3 got one purchase and video 1 got three add to carts but no sale. Plan: Move video 3 and video 1 to a \$ 50 CBO and double the budget every three sales.

## I Tried TikTok Automation for 30 Days (Creativity Program)

\$ 1,000 per 1 million views on TikTok—that's what all the TikTok automation gurus are saying. But is it really legit? Over the next 30 days, I'm going to run a TikTok page from scratch to see how much money we can make. Whatever profit we make gets given away to a random person at the end of this article, so be sure to read until the end.

### Day 1: Starting Point

It's day one of this journey, and this is the page we're working with: only 50 followers and 8,000 likes. However, we do have some viral TikToks from podcast clips we've been posting the last week or so. Our first mission is to achieve TikTok monetization. To get into their new creativity program where you get paid for views, you need at least 10,000 followers, 100K views in the last 30 days, and be at least 18 years old. We've met all but one of these metrics: the 10,000 followers.

### Gaining Followers: Legitimately or Not?

Instead of continuously posting to achieve 10,000 followers legitimately, we're going to cheat by buying followers from a website. For \$ 36.75, we bought 10,000 followers, who were delivered within 9 hours and 28 minutes. As the followers poured in, I began preparing as many 1-minute-long podcast clips as possible to post when monetized, while also posting shorter clips immediately to maintain page momentum.

### Day 2: Achieved Target

By the next day, we already had 8,178 followers and some drafts ready to post. These are 1-minute-plus videos to post when the page is monetized. Upon reaching 10,000 followers, our page got approved for TikTok monetization. We started with \$ 0 in revenue but hoped that would change soon.

### Initial Earnings and Challenges

After a few days, we began earning modest sums: 62,000 views for \$ 84 on day six, and 13,000 views for \$ 44 on day seven. However, TikTok's monetization isn't as straightforward as it seems. The RPM is mostly correct at \$ 11 per 1,000 views, but that's only for qualified views, meaning views from the For You page where the viewer watched at least 5 seconds. Additionally, TikTok only monetizes videos posted after you're approved.

### Content Violation Strikes

We received three strikes on our page for reposting other people's content. With five strikes in 30 days, we'd be kicked out of the creativity program. So, instead of relying solely on TikTok, we looked into alternative sources of income.

### Exploring YouTube and Affiliate Marketing

We began reposting our TikTok videos to YouTube, aiming to slowly gain enough views and subscribers to get monetized. Additionally, we set up an affiliate site to send traffic to, as it's not wise to rely solely on ad revenue. Using Hostinger, we built an affiliate website promoting brokerages like Webull, Robinhood, and Coinbase, which can pay \$ 10 to \$ 100 per sign-up.

### Earnings and Setbacks

Our TikTok page hit five violations and got kicked out of the creativity program, but we had another monetized page with 15,000 followers ready. Meanwhile, our affiliate website brought in \$ 350, with another \$ 300 potentially pending. Affiliate marketing proved lucrative, providing more earnings than TikTok ad revenue overall.

### Creative Adaptation and Final Thoughts

To continue generating revenue, we started a new genre of content on our second page: police body cam footage. Despite initial slow progress, we maintained activity and content posting throughout the challenge.

In total, we earned \$ 19.58 from the original page, \$ 128 from the new police content page, and \$ 600 from our affiliate website, amounting to \$ 620.86. Despite the potential TikTok ban, starting a page and exploring various monetization strategies can be a viable way to make money online.
