International Women's Day is a global event that acknowledges the achievements and significance of women worldwide. TikTok's global community supports women in expressing their true selves and creativity. To demonstrate our support, we launched the hashtag #SheDidThat. TikTok users from around the world celebrated International Women's Day in their own unique ways using this hashtag. Through videos highlighting self-love, personal achievements, and impressive athletic feats, they showcased the limitless capabilities of women. As part of the celebration, we organized the first annual TikTok #SheDidThat International Women's Day Brunch, inviting some of our favorite female creators from Los Angeles. This event aimed to celebrate girl power and empower individuals to embrace their individuality. The brunch featured various creative activities that fostered positivity and acceptance. Guests had the opportunity to participate in a calligraphy station, where they could think of positive affirmations for themselves, which were then written by professional calligraphy artists as a lasting reminder. Another activity was the frame painting station, where guests could showcase their artistic skills and customize frames to reflect their unique personalities. Additionally, there was a stereotype shatter activity, where women took turns hitting a piñata covered in negative stereotypes. Following the activities, the creators shared personal stories about their journeys, focusing on the struggles they have overcome and the accomplishments they have achieved. These stories encompassed business goals, personal achievements, and the triumph over modern stereotypes faced by all women. The group provided support and bonded over shared challenges, creating an atmosphere of positivity, support, and the opportunity to make new connections. TikTok recognizes the invaluable contributions of women who use the app and those who work behind the scenes. As a company, we are immensely proud of our female team members and appreciate their efforts every day, not just on special occasions. TikTok stands in solidarity with these incredible women and every woman in our global community.
