TikTok has joined the Coalition to End Wildlife Trafficking Online, a partnership established by the World Wildlife Fund (WWF), TRAFFIC, and IFAW. The coalition aims to combat wildlife trafficking on e-commerce, search, and social platforms. TikTok has clear guidelines prohibiting content promoting illegal wildlife trade and has successfully removed 85.3% of such content before it receives any views. The platform also strictly prohibits the promotion of products derived from protected animals or the sale of animals themselves. By partnering with the Coalition, TikTok can share best practices, monitor emerging developments, and improve its efforts to prevent wildlife trafficking. The collaboration aims to protect endangered animals and maintain TikTok as a joyful and creative platform.
